I've found a way in...

The sequel to my first novel, The Bringer of War (available here) has been giving me some problems, but I've finally started a draft that feels right, so work on it has now started.

I won't get as much done as I'd like however as my day-job is keeping me mega-busy of late, but the first hurdle is cleared, and after seven re-writes and three new characters, the foundations I laid when planning the series are being built on.

Comments are welcome of course. For those that have read the first book, what are you hoping for in the sequel? What did or didn't you like? Any favourite characters? (or otherwise?)

For those that haven't read it, follow the link above and get reading! :)

The first step into the blogger's world...

So... The first blog; the all important first impression that sets the tone for what's to come.

Well, firstly, thank you for taking the time to read this. Of course, I don't know who you are or how you got here, (maybe a hyperlink went renegade and landed you here, maybe you just tripped on some e-step and stumbled into this with arms flailing... or maybe you actually came here deliberately) but no matter which it is, thank you.

Right... Updates.

The first in the Wolven Chronicles series is now out. It can be found by clicking here.

I'm currently working on the second in the series, as well as a few other things.
My story ideas are annoying like that. They won't form an orderly queue and wait for me to finish something before they butt in and demand to be seen, so I end up with a whole pile of unfinished work that ranges from an exchange between two as yet un made characters that will eventually have a story created around it, right up to a fully fleshed out plan that just needs to be brought to life.

At the moment I have the second of the Wolven Chronicles; The Last of the Seers which I'd like to give priority too, but there is also a "chick-lit" style novel bustling for my attention. It is written in the first person and focuses on life from the male POV. Bit of a change from my first novel, but I do try to be accommodating to all my random ideas.

I also have an urban fantasy novel that I've been writing, ripping up, rewriting, deleting, and finally putting in a drawer for the last ten or so years that just wont go away. I guess it won’t be long before that one is knocking on my head for some attention again.

But all that is a world away from here.

All I have so far is one epic-fantasy novel (I mean epic in the genre sense, not the narcissistic self-appointed-grandeur sense) that is currently pending approval into Smashwords "Premium Catalogue", and a whole warehouse of ideas to follow it.

It hasn't had the most dramatic start to its life, but I am an unknown author, and so far it is only available on two platforms (Smashwords' own website, and the Stanza App for iPhone) so I shouldn't get too disheartned just yet. (Either that or this is already a sign and I should delete my copy of Microsoft Word now before any further damage is done!)

Well, this is me, and this has been my first blog. If you made it this far, well done. I'm pretty sure my future blogs won't go on this much now the introductions are out of the way.

Thanks for reading, and I look forward to reading your comments.
(even if they are just random explanations of how you ended up here instead of somewhere else.)
